Indie Game Developers Bundle Unreleased Game Boy Advance Title 'Overstorm' with Volt

Unreleased-Overstorm-Game-Boy-AdvanceThe last few years have been an incredible ride for software preservationist and retro gamers, with a plethora of unfinished and unreleased video games surfacing in ROM format online. Not only have we seen generous donations from owners of prototype software, but also original developers of archived releases stepping forward to share their unfinished efforts. Of the latter, another team has decided to gift the retro gaming community with an unreleased Game Boy Advance game by bundling it with their latest indie game, Volt.

Over at IndieGameStand, anyone who decides to pick up Volt will also find within their download the unrealised portable adventure Overstorm. This incredibly detailed and impressive Game Boy Advance action-platformer holds a lot of promise, despite only spanning four levels. While very little seems to be known of this unreleased title, the game itself asks a lot of questions at to why this game didn't hit the shelves back in 2003.

At the time of writing Volt (with the added bonus of Overstorm) can be picked up for just $3.99 - a pocket price for anyone wanting to check out a long-lost portable tech demo.
