How Nintendo Virtual Boy games might look on the 3DS

Nintendo-Virtual-Boy-Games-on-the-3DSWith the upcoming Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console promising a range of retro games upon release, we can only wonder why the selection of Virtual Boy games are yet to be announced. While we wait, one gamer has taken it upon himself to present the idea to Nintendo with his own 3D screenshot gallery.

The Nintendo Virtual Boy library may be small, but the quaint selection on offer has more than enough gems we could be enjoying. With these original titles already prepared in 3D, we can only hope Nintendo is currently adapting them for release on the Nintendo 3DS shortly.

Virtual Boy fan Fire-WSP of the Planet Virtual Boy Forums recently managed to sculpt together screenshots capable of displaying in 3D on the Nintendo 3DS. Using screenshots of Teleroboxer from a Virtual Boy emulator and a well known stereo image creator, his 3DS compatible screenshots can be downloaded from his forum post and viewed on any 3DS.

The full instructions and download link can be found on the Planet Virtual Boy Forums. We will be looking forward to another batch of prepared screenshots with the underlining aim Nintendo will take note sooner or later. After all, the Nintendo 3DS was built to emulate Virtual Boy games, right?
