Homebrew Maze-Platformer 'Ridiculous Reality' Arrives On The Atari XL / XE Computers

Homebrew-Maze-Platformer-Ridiculous-Reality-Arrives-On-The-Atari-XL-XE-ComputersRidiculous Reality is an all new adventure for the Atari XE/XL range of computers. This homebrew mind bending puzzle, combined with addictive platforming action is very much the Atari homebrew you want to be enjoying this Christmas - even if it leaves you pulling your hair out.

Developers Martin Šimeček , Adam Wachowski , Michał Radecki and Adam Powroznik, recently won the ABBUC Software Contest 2012 (Atari Bit Byter User Club) by a large margin with Ridiculous Reality, and quite rightly so. Their new creation brings along all new ideas to the dated Atari system, ones you'd very much expect to see on newer systems.

The aim of the game is to simply grab all the keys around to open up the exit, however, you'll find your path there is obstructed by the arrangement of the on screen scenery. By bringing up the mini-map, you'll be able to rearrange the chasms and tunnels available to yourself, hopefully providing access to the all important exit route.

Ridiculous Reality has been made available to download for free from the developers website. The downloadable game ROM can be played in an emulator, or those with access to an Atarimax MyIDE-II flash cartridge can enjoy the game's impressive visuals on the original hardware.
