Homebrew 'Leisure Suit Larry' Nintendo NES Port In Development

Leisure-Suit-Larry-Nintendo-NES-PortOver the last few years, homebrew developers Khan Games have raised the bar high for new Nintendo NES releases after creating several stand-out after-market titles. Their latest work is also set to follow this ambitious path, with the team unofficially porting the home computer sleeze-n-click adventure Leisure Suit Larry to the 8-bit system.

Truth be told, Khan Games have been working on this Nintendo NES port for quite sometime now. That said, it's only as of now that the homebrew developers have announced that the project is just about complete and undergoing testing.

The latest post on the official Khan Games Facebook Fan Page recently shared a screenshot of the game's title screen, one which also revealed a new name for the homebrew release. After attempting to contact the rights holder for the Leisure Suit Larry name with no luck - despite getting blessing from Al Lowe, the creator of the series - Khan Games opted to rename this unofficial port of Sierra's 1987 adventure to Larry: And The Long Look For A Luscious Lover.

No release date has been set for this homebrew port, however, it is expected that the game will see release on a physical cartridge. In the meantime, whilst we await further updates, several screenshots of the game can be found on Facebook over at Khan Games, along with sneak peek videos on Instagram.

Excellent - Maniac Mansion got a decent port to the NES, so a decent point and click adventure on the 8-Bit console has track history
