Homebrew Heroes The Mojon Twins Release Brand New ZX Spectrum Platformer 'Ninjajar'

Ninjajar-ZX-Spectrum-Homebrew-from-the-Mojon-TwinsDrawing inspiration from early Sega platformers, the Mojon Twins have once again provided us with yet another free ZX Spectrum title. Their latest creation Ninjajar, not only shows off what the vintage computer is capable of, but also how influential the likes of Alex Kidd and Wonder Boy are on homebrew developers.

If anything, Ninjajar is an alternative take on Alex Kidd In Miracle World with unique elements and various other platforming classics thrown into the mix. While the inspiration for this brand new release may be found on more recent consoles, the Mojon Twins have somehow pulled off an art style similar to that of the Master System's, on the dated ZX Spectrum.

The game itself also plays out as if it were that of a mainstream big-budget console release, presenting plenty of challenging platforming action and stand-out gameplay. Ninjajar has been released online for free, in a downloadable .TAP format - playable on a ZX Spectrum emulator, or on the original hardware using a DivIDE device.
