Hidden Palace Release A Bunch Of Prototypes Inc. Crash Bandicoot

Hidden-Palace-Release-A-Bunch-Of-Prototypes-IncIt's raining retro game prototypes! The infamous drx of Hidden Palace has returned with another handful of tasty prototype releases. Amongst the bundle is a rather early build of Crash Bandicoot, a prototype of Mickey Mania for the Mega CD, but the more interesting item of the bunch is an official Game.com emulator.

What's so special about a Game.com emulator I hear you say? Well, until this release there have been no Tiger Game.com emulators in any shape or form whatsoever. While the emulator seems to be lacking the ability to load ROM files currently, our hopes are high that the software can be carefully modified to accept the selection of Game.com ROMs floating around the web. Stay tuned!

Onto more playable items, the Crash Bandicoot 1 prototype has been reported to offer a vast range of differences to the retail release, some of which can be viewed here. The early copy of Mickey Mania for the Sega Mega CD, while not stated to feature different content, holds the build date of 25th August 1994, a good few months before Disney's flagship character arrived on the system.

The other interesting item hidden amongst this bundle of releases was a German debug version of Pokemon Ruby - a version which allows the creation of any Pokemon via a hidden menu alongside various other tools to tinker with the Game Boy Advance adventure.
