Has An Unreleased Michael Jackson Sega Mega CD Game 'Star Fighter Training' Been Discovered?

Star Fighter zpsw1nchvimAs we all know by now, both Sega and Michael Jackson found themselves working in countless projects together in the late 80s onwards. Following on from the alleged allegations in the mid-nineties, the two seemed to drift apart and things seem to draw to a close. Having said that, there may be another untold chapter in Jackson's video game tale which has just come to light.

Over on the RetroCollect forums a new user by the name of Yakata recently popped online seeking information on an obscure title in his possession. To everyone's surprise was a picture showcasing a potentially cancelled Mega CD game that was an extension of Sega's arcade release The AS1 Simulator. Still sitting sealed with a spine card, this never seen before title featured Michael Jackson in his very own Star Fighter Training - a kid-friendly space simulator for children, unsurprisingly.

As it stands though, the owner of this said unreleased title is yet to provide more information or photographs of this unreleased title. Given the prominence of Michael Jackson and Sega's 16-bit output, it's incredible knowing that such a release has potentially eluded us for several decades. This very fact is also why several members on the forum have raised their doubts about the game.

While we await further information, photographs and confirmation on the authenticity of this game, join us as we get swept up in what could be one of the biggest until chapters in the retro gaming world.
