GroovyBee Mattel Intellivision Flash Cartridge In Development

Intellivision-Flash-CartridgeWith countless consoles now being offered state-of-the-art flash cartridges which boot game ROMs from MicroSD cards, it was inevitable that the Mattel Intellivision would soon follow suit. The much loved system from 1980 has an all new flash cartridge under way, one which is due for release in the near future.

This new creation for the historic console is currently being put together by GroovyBee of the AtariAge forums. As of recent GroovyBee updated the forum on his progress with the Intellivision flash cartridge by uploading not only photographs of the device, but also a video of it in action playing several classics such as Frogger, Burgertime and Q*Bert.

While GroovyBee has stated there is still plenty of work to be done, it doesn't stop us from admiring his progress so far and dreaming on the soon to be arriving day where we can have every single Intellivision title stored within one cartridge.
