Graphic Adventures - Tribute book to Lucasarts, Sierra & Point 'n' Click Games

Graphic-Adventures-BookAnother book to add to the shelving beside the gaming magazines and collectibles. Graphic Adventures, a new book by Philipp Lenssen, compiling the full history of Lucasarts, Sierra and the rest of the Point 'n' Click genre in an easily digestible form; Wikipedia!

Before you get alarmed by Wikipedia being the main source of this book, the author clearly states that the book is a collected and edited version of many wikipedia entries all in one. And all credit to him, it's great to see a coffee table book based upon the games grew up on for those lazy Sundays and evening reads.

The table of contents lists the book in three sections, starting off with the earliest Lucasarts adventure title; Labyrinth, followed by Maniac Mansion, all the way to Grim Fandango. The Sierra section follows closely looking at the Kings Quest, Space Quest and Police Quest series, and of course Leisure Suit Larry. To finish the book, is every other Point 'n' Click title not released under either of the two previous companies, such as Beneath a Steel Sky and Simon the Sorcerer.

The book is also available to download for free in HTML format, for those not comfortable paying in this Internet generation!
