Gradual Games To Release Nintendo NES Homebrew Adventure Nomolos: Storming The Catsle In Spring 2012

Gradual-Games-To-Release-Nintendo-NES-Homebrew-Adventure-Nomolos-Storming-The-Catsle-In-Spring-2012Nomolos: Storming The Catsle is the upcoming homebrew adventure from Gradual Games, featuring a blend of Mega Man and Castlevania gameplay with visuals clearly inspired by the likes of Color Dreams. Although in development for over a year at a slow (and gradual) pace, the team hope to release their first venture into NES homebrew in Spring 2012.

Despite flying off the radar for a good nine months, Gradual Games recently resurfaced on the NintendoAge forums to announce the recent updates brought to Nomolos: Storming The Catsle, along with an all new and updated gameplay video featuring plenty of action in game.

The new release takes a similar approach to Battle Kid by incorporating just about every loved element of gameplay from the Nintendo NES era, most notably tough level design, tricky pattern based bosses and fast paced gameplay, to sculpt yet another anticipated homebrew adventure.

With Gradual Games nearing in on completion of their first title, the developers hope to showcase their game at the upcoming MAGFest X show in North America early next year. Until then, here is the latest gameplay video:

No one has any earthly idea how long I've been anticipating this homebrew. It's been well over a year and I check his blog every day. I can honestly say I'm Nomolos's greatest fan already. I simply can't wait...
