We’ve all memorised each and every turn of the Complex and Temple, but don’t consider yourself a GoldenEye 007 pro just yet. The ever active bond-hacker Sogun has brought along two more maps to the 1997 shooter from two other classic Nintendo 64 titles - Pilotwings 64 and Bomberman 64.
Similar to Sogun’s previous additions - Peach’s Castle from Super Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time’s Kakariko Village - both the Blue Resort from Bomberman 64 and Holiday Island from Pilotwings 64 have arrived as fully playable maps in Rare’s FPS. The maps feature all the iconic scenery from the two titles, along with all of the GoldenEye 007 additions such as weapon spawning locations and more.
What makes these custom maps even more appealing to retro gamers is that Sogun has made a ROM patch available for Nintendo 64 flashcards. This means those of you still hosting GoldenEye 007 deathmatches at home can look forward to tackling these two new maps on the original hardware.
In order to get shooting through the both Pilotwings and Bomberman, you'll need to get hold of a GoldenEye 007 ROM file and follow some detailed instructions which can be found on the GoldenEye Vault. Although the patch may be a little fiddly, it's worth it!
