GamesMaster TV show set to return?

gamesmasterGaming shows today (the few that have survived) on TV have turned into sterile 'gadget' reports featuring very little games. Gamers growing up in 90's were lucky enough to have experienced the fantastic GamesMaster and Bad Influence and have very fond memories. Those memories could be revived as Future who currently owns the rights to GamesMaster is looking at new ways to extend the brand.

While the content GamesMaster will show from here on will be a very different story to what was broadcast in the 90's, it is still great to be reminded of those times we would huddle round the Television to get the latest reviews, tips and gaming gossip. Although nothing has been confirmed as of yet, rumours are floating round with alot of anticipation.

"Future is also looking at ways to extend the brand into new formats," said Future.

"GamesMaster remains the UK's most successful videogames TV show of all-time, running from 1991 until 1998 on Channel 4, and the team are exploring the potential for reviving the brand on TV screens." (Source TechRadar)

And for our international readers questioning what GamesMaster was like, here is a clip ffrom one of the episodes. Enjoy!

They have to keep Patrick Moore or it just won't be GamesMaster, but for the love of all life on earth DON'T get Dominik Diamond back he was so bad, as he proved again a few years back with his terrible 'When Games Attack' show he should be locked up for crimes against gamers. *shudders*

Dominique Diamond was still a better choice than that Dexter Fletcher of series 3!
