Hoping to offer retro gamers what the iPod is to music enthusiasts, Blaze Europe have introduced an open source Linux based handheld known as the GameGadget. This upcoming device is set to allow developers to re-open their back catalogue of classic games, while giving indie's yet another platform to work on.
If you don't already have access to a Gamepark 32, GP2X, Open Pandora or an Xperia Play, the GameGadget might be the answer to your portable retro gaming needs. While no other specs apart from the fact the GameGadget is Linux based have been released, rumours on other websites such as T3 suggest the device will be capable of launching 16-bit titles with ease.
Until we have further information of what this mystery handheld is capable of, we will leave you with the knowledge that the GameGadget is is set for release before the end of the year at £99.99.
