Gamebox: 4 Player Emulation Console arrives on DealExtreme

4-player-emulation-consoleWhat is being described as the home console version of the Dingoo handheld has just emerged on DealExtreme. For just $53, you can have a 4 player emulation console capable of playing Arcade, Sega Mega Drive, Super Nintendo and PC Engine games.

Simply titled 'Gamebox', this new addition to the many of Hong Kong's finest gaming equipment should gain the interest of quite a few gamers wanting an easy solution to playing ROMs on their televisions. While the territory could be considered a grey area, we would like to believe the loyal RetroCollect fan base would use a device such as the Retrode to prepare their own legal ROMs before hand.

Legalities aside, almost, the console features a somewhat familiar looking gamepad. With four USB slots on the front of the console, the system is capable of having a 'familiar' gamepad in each one, supposedly offering four player gameplay.

As mentioned the device is said to emulate Arcade (MAME, Capcom CPS3, CPS2, CPS1 and Poly Game Master ROMs), Super Nintendo / Famicom, Sega Mega Drive, and PC Engine CD. With these features in mind, it's very likely this device will be capable of offering four player Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade action alongside classics such as Super Mario World, Bonk's Adventure and Sonic the Hedgehog.

Currently, we know very little about the console and how well it holds up playing the games. However we do know the following...

Here is a list of the features on offer from the manufacturer:
