Fan Made 'Mega Man Unlimited' Blasts Onto PC Next Month

Mega-Man-UnlimitedAfter witnessing Capcom's Mega Man 9 back in 2008, Philippe "MegaPhilX" Poulin put together a concept video of how he believed the next game in the series should look. Following such positive praise, Poulin decided to begin work on this fan made sequel. Following many years of development - Mega Man Unlimited - will finally be ready to download next month.

Despite this title originally starting life as a home-made homage to the blue bomber, Mega Man Unlimited is very much looking as if it was a true entity in the 8-bit series. Although there is no Capcom seal of approval, this fan creation not only features sprites which are true to the original titles, but also a soundtrack just as pumping as the classics born out of the Nintendo NES era, and presumably the level of difficulty we've grown to expect.

A release trailer for Mega Man Unlimited just made its way to YouTube, stating that retro gamers will finally be able to enjoy this upcoming epic on July 14th 2013.

did capcom mistake this for a game they were making?

Well, in a sense no. They really didn't do anything for the 25th anniversary except for releasing a free PC game Mega Man X Street Fighter. It was okay, but it really was not much of a Mega Man game. Now this is looking like a great MM game, I only wish it was built to work on NES hardware and have a homebrew cart release.
