Unofficial Sonic The Hedgehog Fan Game 'Sonic Dimensions' Released!

SonicDimFor two years Danny Coyle has been working on his fan game Sonic Dimensions. Now the game is available to play and if the début trailer is anything to go by fans are for a treat.

Unlike many fan-made Sonic titles that focus on the character's 2D glory days, Sonic Dimensions instead plays in the 3rd dimension, looking a lot like the Sonic's last outing, Sonic Generations. Like Generations, Dimensions mixed up 2D and 3D gameplay, seamlessly switching between the two. Apart from this, Dimensions also has other tricks up its sleeve such as an enhanced speed dash, improved enemy AI, a cool speed distortion effect as well a new effect that causes Sonic to light up the environment once he hits a certain speed, and more. The game looks to include re-creating of levels from both Sonic's 2D and 3D adventures as well as some original ones as well.

Available for both PC and MAC, every Sonic fan will have the opportunity to play this impressive looking game.

Where does one go to download this?

The above "Mac" link takes you to YouTube, and a dead "MegaUpload" link in the description.

The download links are in the YouTube descriptions. If the links are now dead I apologise but there isn't anything I can do about it as it's not my game. Perhaps you could try and contact Danny?

Managed to download this for the PC through the Mediafire link on the Youtube page.

Hate to say it, but it's bloody awful. I played it for less than a few minutes then deleted it. It feels really broken for something that's a final release.

Very disappointed :(

Yes, have to agree with you. I just watched the trailer before posting the article, I didn't actually play it as I was pressed for time. I don't know how he got the thing to run smooth as even windowed this thing chugs, and mine is a powerful machine. Horrible controls, too.
