For two years Danny Coyle has been working on his fan game Sonic Dimensions. Now the game is available to play and if the début trailer is anything to go by fans are for a treat.
Unlike many fan-made Sonic titles that focus on the character's 2D glory days, Sonic Dimensions instead plays in the 3rd dimension, looking a lot like the Sonic's last outing, Sonic Generations. Like Generations, Dimensions mixed up 2D and 3D gameplay, seamlessly switching between the two. Apart from this, Dimensions also has other tricks up its sleeve such as an enhanced speed dash, improved enemy AI, a cool speed distortion effect as well a new effect that causes Sonic to light up the environment once he hits a certain speed, and more. The game looks to include re-creating of levels from both Sonic's 2D and 3D adventures as well as some original ones as well.
Available for both PC and MAC, every Sonic fan will have the opportunity to play this impressive looking game.

The above "Mac" link takes you to YouTube, and a dead "MegaUpload" link in the description.
Hate to say it, but it's bloody awful. I played it for less than a few minutes then deleted it. It feels really broken for something that's a final release.
Very disappointed :(
