Fan Made 'Sonic Chrono Adventure' Brings Along More 16-Bit Blue Hedgehog Action

Fan-Game-Sonic-Chrono-Adventure-Brings-Along-More-16-Bit-Blue-Hedgehog-ActionThe Sonic The Hedgehog fan game community and ROM hacking scene, if anything, is ahead of Sega at its own game. One of the most influential programmers within this community is the man behind Sonic Before The Sequel, LakeFeperd. This blue hedgehog fanatic has just released a trailer for his promising new title, Sonic Chrono Adventure.

If you haven't already seen any of his prior work, LakeFeperd has been picking up where Sega left off in the mid-nineties. Sonic Before The Sequel was a stunning fan made effort which not only incorporated the Sonic mechanics and gameplay we know and love, but also brand new levels, soundtracks and much more.

Sonic Chrono Adventure is set to pick up the pace though, thanks to the improved graphics and gameplay. Also joining the line up will be brand new characters and a much deeper story. But where things really get interesting is the currently unexplained compass navigation mechanic seen in the game's trailer.

Sadly though, Sonic Chrono Adventure, like its predecessors, will be a PC game. As much as we'd love to see these titles running on the original Mega Drive hardware, they're fan made games for your desktop computer.

No release date has been set as of yet for the Sonic Chrono Adventure download, nor has any demo been made available - so stay tuned for more updates.
