Eye of Typhoon is without a doubt one of the most sought after titles for any Panasonic 3DO collector. The South Korean exclusive fighter is by far one of the hardest titles to locate, so much so it has reached over $1,400 at auction. The game has now been preserved in ISO format and made available to download for the first time ever.
Having been previously unavailable to download in any shape or form speaks volume about how rare this title really is. Also released on MS-DOS in 1996 by Viccom, Eye of Typhoon was also due for release on SNK's Neo Geo, however, was scrapped soon after being demonstrated at AOU Show in February 1996. This 2D fighter was the second of Viccom's creations, the first being Fight Fever, the only Korean title released on the Neo Geo.
Eye of Typhoon is very similar to that of King of Fighters, Street Fighter II and Art of Fighting. With 12 characters on offer and two boss characters, this 2D fighter sees you battling your way through the ranks. If anything an explanation isn't needed as it's the same old fighting affair we all know and love.
This previously unpreserved fighter has finally surfaced via Underground-Gamer, also making an appearance on other online forums for download. So should you be a Panasonic 3DO fan, be sure check out this incredibly rare fighter.
