Since leaving Blackpool behind in early November, the community of retro gamers have been in hiding due to a lack of upcoming gaming events. That uncomfortable wait for a worthy event has be answered thanks to an all new expo underway by the name of GEEK 2012, set to take place in mid-February on the Kent coastline.
For those who left the west coast wanting even more action will be pleased to know that the organisation team behind Replay Expo- Replay Events, will be setting up camp at GEEK 2012 in Margate's Winter Gardens to put forward a wide selection of consoles, games and cabinets for all to enjoy.
Taking place between the 15th and 19th of February, GEEK 2012 hopes to offer more than enough on the show floor to celebrate the culture of video gaming as we know it, while providing a suitable base for the masses of RetroCollectees and retro gamers to socialise. To sweeten this already growing deal of gaming goodness, there has been talk that one of the local cinemas will be made accessible to provide the dreamy cinematic gaming experience we've never had before. (Just imagine 8-Player Bomberman on a cinema screen, or even Goldeneye 64...)
Until we get more information on the event, head over to the official GEEK 2012 event website to find out more. And should you be attending, don't forget to let the community know with the RetroCollect Retro Gaming Events Calendar.
