Emulation: Dingoo A330 Handheld coming soon

Dingooa330Most emulation fans will already be familiar with the Dingoo A320, a slick handheld capable of emulating many different consoles. The A320 is about to be replaced by it's newer model, the Dingoo A330.

Information came earlier today from GBAtemp, after they decided to contact the manufacturers regarding issues with the Dingoo A320. Within their response was promise that the Dingoo A330 was on it's way, details about the new handheld and a high resolution scan of box to be.

The handheld is set to emulate the following systems straight out of the box; Gameboy Advance, Super Nintendo, Nintendo NES, Sega Mega Drive, Neo Geo, CPS1, CPS2, Atari Lynx, Gameboy Color and the Sega Master System.

Here is the full list of features:

  • The Dingoo A330 will be released later this month or sometime next month.
  • From the packaging, it seems that the console will come with the following emulators: GBA, SNES, NES, Mega Drive, Neo Geo, CPS1, CPS2, Lynx, GBC, Master System
  • It will come with an embedded 2.4 GHz radio receiver in order to support wireless game controllers
  • The following video formats will be supported: RMVB, RM, AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG, DAT, MP4, ASF. As for audio, supported formats are MP3, WMA and FLAC. Apparently the media player has been enriched with many new features too.
  • Among the features described on the packaging, it seems the console will (still) come with an FM radio module, a digital recorder, an image browser (supporting JPEG, BMP, GIF and PNG), an e-book reader which can be opened while playing music and U-Disk functionality.
  • We do not have any information regarding technical specifications, but we will make sure to ask as soon as possible. However we already know that the internal storage will remain unchanged, 4GB flash memory with MiniSD card support.

The original Dingoo looked smart enough, this looks like a PSP-knock-off. How's it different from the original, besides in the physical sense?

Also, notice it says "Game King" on the packaging... It's not from the same people who made that strange handheld, several years ago, the Game King? Who knows?
