Earthworm Jim HD Retro Remake Trailer released

EarthwormJimHD16 years since the game's original release, Gameloft have released a trailer for their upcoming HD remake of Earthworm Jim. Featuring a newly added 4 player mode, it's shaping up rather well.

Since becoming a cult favourite amongst Super Nintendo and Sega Megadrive fans, Earthworm Jim has always been a well loved memory, but one that was rarely touched upon since release. Since his third outing on the Nintendo 64, Earthworm Jim has remained dormant in the archives of license holders.

The Gameloft revival is everything we hope for in retro remakes; a loyal update sticking to the original gameplay featuring updated (but similar) graphics. The trailer released features all the iconic locations from the original and the added multiplayer feature to battle away with your friends on Xbox Live Arcade & Playstation Network. To add even more to the line up, Gameloft has stated that the remake will feature new original levels.

Earthworm Jim HD is set for release in June on Xbox Live Arcade, with a Playstation Network release a month later.
