Rare's Unfinished Nintendo 64 Prototypes Of Conker's Bad Fur Day & Perfect Dark Leak Online

Early-Prototypes-Of-Rares-Nintendo-64-Titles-Conkers-Bad-Fur-Day-Perfect-Dark-Leak-For-DownloadThis year has been quite a remarkable one for retro gamers interested in the wonderful world of unfinished and unreleased video games. Now joining the 2013 line-up of preserved video game code, alongside the impressive Resident Evil 1.5, are trade demos of Conker's Bad Fur Day and debug versions of Perfect Dark.

Originally this small collection of Rare prototypes were going to be released following the successful raising of funds to cover the game code in question. Plans, however, have since changed and the owner (or middleman in this case) has released online ROMs of these unfinished titles that were kindly donated by an anonymous source.

Within this bundle of Nintendo 64 beta/prototype ROMs are the following titles:

  • Conker's Bad Fur Day NTSC debug build, dated from 2000
  • Conker's Bad Fur Day ECTS 2000 trade show demo build
  • Perfect Dark NTSC Debug Build
  • Perfect Dark PAL Debug Build

According to fans of these classics, many differences have already been found, including unfinished, removed and prototype maps within Conker's Bad Fur Day.

So should you fancy digging deep into the controversial title from 2001, or tinkering with the various debug options hidden within Perfect Dark, be sure to check out these Nintendo 64 prototype/beta ROMs.
