Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line Adventures Onto iOS & Android Devices

Dragon-Quest-II-on-SmartphonesIn 1987 Enix released their highly anticipated follow up to the phenomenal success that was Dragon Quest. Although Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line took another three years to be localised for English speaking audiences, it was only North America which once again got to sample the 8-bit adventure. As of today though, the entire world can put Dragon Quest II in their pocket thanks to an all new Smartphone port.

Square Enix are finally giving Dragon Quest the same treatment as their other flagship series Final Fantasy, by re-releasing the entire run of titles on more modern devices. With the likes of the first Dragon Quest and the incredible 3D Dragon Quest VIII already hitting smartphone devices, we’re left wondering what’s next for the series.

Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line is very similar to its predecessor, using the same engine and visuals, with a remastered soundtrack, the follow up to the title which started it all is one you don’t want to miss. The game itself doesn’t require you to have finished the first title to understand the plot, allowing anyone interested able to pick up and go.

Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line is now available from both Google Play and the iTunes Store for £2.99

I actually quite like how the Dragon Quest ports use portrait layout, it's nice to be able to control the with one hand.
