Double Fine Productions Announce Full Throttle Remastered & More Day Of The Tentacle Remake Gameplay

Full-Throttle-and-Day-of-the-Tentacle-RemasteredLong live the point ‘n’ click genre! Double Fine Productions, headed up by industry legend Tim Schafer, recently took to the stage of the PlayStation Experience event in California to bring retro gamers up to date on their efforts. With plenty to show on their previously announced Day of the Tentacle remake, fans were also amazed to learn that Lucasarts’ classic Full Throttle is due for a remaster.

Announced a year ago this month, Day of the Tentacle’s development appears to be progressing well judging by the gameplay shown on stage. Sticking incredibly true to the original, all of the game’s memorable scenes appear to be exactly as we remember them, only this time is crisp vector-styled visuals. Furthermore the original voice-acting appears to be present too, with all the wacky dialogue still standing.

Moving on, although brief, Schafer reveals to the audience at PlayStation Experience that Full Throttle Remastered will be arriving on the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita in the near future. While very little was said other than its reveal, it was confirmed that Full Throttle would receive the same treatment as Day of the Tentacle too - a remake which stays faithful to the original.
