Dizzy Inspired Adventure 'Dylan The Spaceman' Heading To Commodore Amiga

Amiga-Homebrew-Dylan-The-Spaceman-In-DevelopmentIf you grew up in the United Kingdom during the home computer boom you'll no doubt remember the eggscellent 8-bt hero, Dizzy. Providing gamers with screens-upon-screens of platforming puzzles, Codemasters' classic is one that many of us hold close to our hearts. As of today though there's a real lack of titles drawing inspiration from the series - so much so a homebrew developer for the Commodore Amiga has decided to make amends with Dylan The Spaceman.

This newly announced adventure is yet to be released on the Amiga, however, the recently revealed screenshots are already showing a lot of promise. Drawing from its inspiration, the game's visuals hold a lot of familiarities of a time when collecting items to traverse a large map had us hunched over our keyboards for hours on end. This of course is the style of gameplay that developer Chris Clarke is promising us with Dylan The Spaceman, and needless to say we're eager to sample it.

According to Clarke, the game will hopefully be released later this Summer, with versions being made available for a wide range of Amiga platforms including the CD32. While we await the all important release date, be sure to keep your eye on the Amiga PD Facebook page where regular updates are being posted on the development of Dylan The Spaceman.
