Custom Portable Handheld Nintendo 64 inside a GBA Carry Case

Portable-Nintendo-64-ModWith our recent coverage of the Nintendo 64 it only seemed right to top it off with something special. Just in time for this occasion, one console modder recently showcased his newly crafted portable Nintendo 64 handheld for many to drool over.

Console hacker known as Hailrazer on the Modded by Bacteria forums was proud to show off his latest achievement. The N64 Handheld Console was built from scratch by compressing the hardware down to fit inside a Nintendo branded Game Boy Advance carry case, a rather fitting case for such a modification.

Installed inside the Game Boy case is a 4.3" LCD screen, Gamecube control pad, a built in Expansion Pak and a rechargeable battery pack. Just about everything you could possibly want in a portable Nintendo 64.

Hailrazer has recently uploaded a video of his work featuring the handheld in action on YouTube:

Oh, wow. *bows down* That's incredible. =) That's a double-dose of nostalgia with the GBA and N64 bundled like that. To be completely honest, that makes it much more attractive than the regular DS (not to mention the N64 game library is so much better...)

Incredible! All that retro goodness on the go! Wonder if it's got a better battery life than the Game Gear
