Custom Modded Nintendo Game Boy Advance Goes XL With The 'BigBoy Advance'

Nintendo-BigBoy-Advance-Custom-HandheldWhen the Nintendo Game Boy Advance arrived on the scene, portable gaming had been revolutionised with an all new display larger than ever before. As time has gone on though, we've been spoilt with the likes of the Sony PSP and PS Vita's deluxe size screens - but that's all about to change. The BigBoy Advance is a custom GBA busting onto the scene with a huge 8" screen.

Unsurprisingly this brand new handheld modification comes from none other than BacMan, the talented hardware sculptor behind portable PlayStation 1s, Nintendo 64s, and the all-in-one console Project Unity.

As usual, instead of sticking to the rules, BacMan has used a RetroDuo console and the unofficial Super Nintendo Game Boy Advance Adapter to create the BigBoy Advance. Although there isn't a single Game Boy Advance system used within this modification, the aftermarket hardware works just as well, something his progress thread goes on to show.

With an unusual finish to the system, all the neccessary buttons, and the added bonus of a screen protector too, the BigBoy Advance is yet another handheld dream we'll never get to own. The Game Boy Advance classics look fantastic once blown up to fit the 8" screen, and yet again, BacMan has amazed us all with the unthinkable.
