Just days after our Ultimate Guide to Emulation on Android Devices was published, another addition to the list of emulatable systems has arrived. CPSEmu is a brand new emulator for Android, built to emulate the Capcom CPS2 arcade hardware. That's right, Marvel Vs Capcom and X-Men Vs Street Fighter on the go!
CPSEmu is the latest arrival from Cpasjuste who recently brought the fantastic SNK Neo Geo emulator, NeoDroid, to Android. Built upon the same system, those familiar with NeoDroid will feel right at home thanks to the easy to use menu system.
Emulation-wise, CPSEmu is one incredible piece of software which shows no sign of in-game slowdown (Tested on a Sony Xperia Play) even on the most intensive and demanding CPS2 games. Cpasjuste has also included the scanline feature which was present in NeoDroid, making all those Capcom arcade classics look even better on smaller screens.
As of speaking the CPSEmu seems to have disappeared from the Android Marketplace. While it used to be present at this link, not all hope is lost as Cpajuste has been posting each build to another forum for gamers to test.
