Commodore 64 Bomberman Clone 'Bomberland' Now Available

Bomberland-Commodore-64-ReleasedLast month we brought the all important news to you that Hudson's explosive series, Bomberman, was heading to the Commodore 64 - albeit unofficially. As of now, Bomberland has just been released on the classic computer as both a physical cartridge and digital download.

This all new arrival comes via the retro game manufacturers, RGCD, who have continued to provide a stream of high quality brand new homebrew releases on a wide range of classic consoles. Like many of their previous physical releases, Bomberland arrives in an aesthetically pleasing package consisting of the game, a poster, code sheets, a sticker, instruction manual and of course the game's box.

Production quality aside, the game itself is very much worth the investment as the Commodore 64 has never before seen a port of Bomberman up the standard of several home console versions. Bomberland offers a 32-level single player campaign, 2-5 player battle tournament mode (utilising the Protovision four-player adapter), C128 enhancements, a password save system and support for two-button joysticks.

Bomberland for the Commodore 64 is now available at RGCD for the low cost of £1.99 (digital download), or £25 for the physical release.
