Last year iPhone users were lucky enough to be granted access to one of the most notable Commodore Amiga shooters on their devices. A year later Android owners can finally join in on the fun as Battle Squadron has been made available on Google Play.
Originally released back in 1989, Battle Squadron saw rave reviews with one even granting the vertical scrolling shooter the bizarre score of 109%. 23 years later, how does the shmup hold up? Whilst there are various methods of control implemented into this game, the true Android Retro Gamers will be disappointed to hear that this release is currently lacking support for the Sony Xperia Play gamepad controls.
