Cave Story Confirmed for Nintendo DS (DSiWare)

Cave-Story-DSiWareWell, this shouldn't come as too much of a surprise. With the insane following Cave Story has, any new port is a welcome addition. This time round, Cave Story is coming to the Nintendo DS via DSiWare soon.

Dōkutsu Monogatari as Cave Story is also known as, has been invading many PCs since 2004. It was developed by Daisuke Amaya, who goes by the name of Pixel. 5 years in the making, Cave Story was released for free online and instantly became a huge hit.

The game was finally brought to a commercial platform earlier this year, reaching the Nintendo Wii via WiiWare in the US. But as of recent, the latest issue of the US magazine Nintendo Power has listed a Cave Story DS review in its table of contents.

So if you haven't already played Cave Story, or fancy re-living the masterpiece once more, you're in luck! No release date is confirmed, but expect one soon.
