carmageddon-set-to-smash-on-to-android-devices-this-monthLast October the controversial racer Carmageddon crashed on to Apple iOS devices, leaving plenty of road kill in its wake. Unfortunately for the patient Android gamers amongst us, we were left waiting at the starting line. Later this month Android devices can finally join in with the carnage, as the updated touchscreen version of the 1997 classic is set to smash onto the Google Play store.

Having found success on the iTunes Store, Stainless Games have now invested their funds into porting Carmageddon to the Android platform. Like its iOS counterpart,  this touchscreen version features 36 courses and 28 different vehicles, alongside many new additions such as achievements. The Android port of Carmageddon is due to go on sale from the 10th of May, will a free promotional version to be made available upon launch.
