Capcom's Arcade Classic 'Strider' Set For A Remake?

Capcoms-Arcade-Strider-Set-For-A-RemakeWith Capcom set to announce their latest line up at PAX East this weekend, there has been much speculation regarding what we might happen to see. The Japanese publisher, however, may have let one detail slide due to some brand new Strider artwork being uploaded, and then removed, from Xbox Live Arcade.

The online messageboard NeoGAF was quick to spot this addition and has since begun discussing what might Strider related content could be heading our way. Speculation leads us to believe that this could be nothing more than a port of the arcade game compatible with the Capcom Arcade Cabinet, though our hopes lies with a brand new remake given the new direction of this artwork.

While there is little else to be said about this possible Striker remake or port as of yet, we're sure we'll know everything by the end of the weekend.

One of the most intriguing atmospheric games ever. Its hard to imagine you can beat the original, but even a significant graphics update of it would be awesome.

Strider is my all-time favorite video game character.. A Russian ninja? How can you beat that?
The world was so cool on the NES game and the genesis one was just a blast. Plus he's the best character in MvC. Yeah, yeah he is :D
