Brand New Nintendo NES Platformer 'Mad Wizard: A Candelabra Chronicle' Released On Cartridge

Mad-Wizard-Released-On-Nintendo-NES-CartridgeIf you've felt that your Nintendo NES collection could do with a new adventure as of late, then look no further. Sly Dog Studios have finally released their long-awaited puzzle platformer Mad Wizard: A Candelabra Chronicle on cartridge for the 8-bit system.

Originally announced back in July 2014, Mad Wizard: A Candelabra Chronicle features a fantastic blend of two genres, further showcasing what the dated Nintendo console can still pull off. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Dizzy, Mega Man, and Solomon's Key, you'll be tasked with all kinds of level beating feats by using a selection of spells to make bridges, create new platforms, and of course slay enemies. With 128 unique screens to explore, this all new homebrew release certainly promises a lot.

Now available through RetroZone for $40, both gamers and collectors can enjoy adding this translucent blue cartridge to their collections. Originally expected to come accompanied with a box and manual, Mad Wizard: A Candelabra Chronicle instead becomes one of the first 8-bit titles to include a digital in-game manual. For those unsure on a purchase too, a playable demo is also available to download.
