Brand New Game Boy Platformer ‘Rocket Man’ Gets Playable Demo ROM

Rocket-Man-Game-Boy-Homebrew-Gets-ROM-DemoDrawing inspiration from Capcom’s finest Mega Man series, an all new homebrew platformer has been born from the depths of Spain. Rocket Man is the latest development to hit the Nintendo Game Boy and one that is already showing plenty of promise.

Having first started work on Rocket Man back in April 2014, the trio of Imanolea (developer), Seiyouh (graphics), and NAP.VGM (audio) are showcasing their fantastic collaboration early with a playable demo up for download. Making the most of the handheld’s limited power, the game displays an adorable art style and catchy chiptune beats to compliment the action.

Instead of appearing to be nothing more than a technical demo, Rocket Man’s physics and built in narrative system are already suggesting that the trio have a future hit on their hands. No release date appears to be set for the upcoming handheld adventure, so in the meantime be sure to sample the game’s demo which is available to download for free.
