For nearly two decades fans of the Warcraft series have been missing out on what was shaping up to be a stunning graphical adventure in the late 90s. Despite appearing packed to the brim with gorgeous cartoon visuals and puzzles to boot, the upcoming PC title Warcraft Adventures: Lord Of The Clans soon found itself cancelled and lost to time.
Back in 2012 fans thought they finally had their hands deep in Blizzard's archives when abandonware site Abandonia posted a link to download the game. Unfortunately many soon found themselves frustrated once they realised the release date - April 1st. As of today though, fans are having the last laugh following an unofficial leak of the entire game on the Scrolls of Lore forum.
Posting to the discussion board, Russian user Reidor shared a link to Mediafire containing a 563mb download of the unreleased Warcraft Adventures. Packaged alongside instructions on how to boot the game on more recent versions of Windows, the game appears to be there in all its entirety with the in-game cinematics too.
Featuring gameplay similar to that of Broken Sword and The Secret of Monkey Island, you take control of of Thrall - an orc raised by humans for the sole purpose of war, who finds himself thrown into the dungeons. Starting out as an escape mission, the game soon unfolds into a series of lush landscapes with plenty of puzzles to ponder over.
While it's yet to be known if Blizzard will respond or take action against this leak, now's the time to head on over to the Scrolls of Lore forum if you ever fancied giving this game a go.
