Just pre ordered this and can't wait to get my grubby little hands on it  I have always wanted a Neo Geo and was considering buying a AES for quite a while, but this seems like a decent alternative and hopefully SNK won't take the mick with the price of the memory card games.

why have they had to release this so close to the wii-u launch. im sure my wife would kill me if i had the wii u then this around a week later lmao. maybe a new year present to myself. it looks pretty cool non the less.

Yeah, I'm buying this over the Wii U. The thing is the Wii U will be around for many years. The NGX may not last, but I hope it's around for several years with many releases.

I am seriously considering getting this over a Wii U >_>

So is there any talk of newly developed games for the system? If the promise of new cards were in the offing I'd be interested, particularly as it comes with Mutation Nation.

Hmm... now what to rather do: Order this now from the UK, or wait till its on sale in Germany/Switzerland and risk not getting the excellent Gold Edition.

Edit: Scratch that, a Swiss e-tailer has the Gold version on their site, shipping December 7th. For quite the same price as the UK.

This is a definite must over the the Wii U. The Wii U will be around for years - It would be wise to get the NGX now rather than later on ebay for double the price :-)

Do Blaze charge now or when they dispatch?

Do we all think this will become a modern classic?
I for one will surely pre-order this, but I wonder if buying another one and keeping it un-opened wether it will only climb in value over time, or just be a modern fad that holds no real value for the collectors and purists?
