Bitmap Books Returns With 'Commodore Amiga: A Visual Commpendium' Kickstarter

Commodore-Amiga-A-Visual-Compendium-Kickstarter-LaunchesAfter an incredibly successful Kickstarter campaign to immortalise the best of the Commodore 64 in book-form, Bitmap Books has returned to gift the Amiga a similar treatment. Arriving in the same style as the last, the Commodore Amiga: a visual Commpendium has finally hit Kickstarter - and is off with a flying start.

If you’re not familiar with what either of these books are, Sam Dyer of Bitmap Books has been busy behind the scenes creating a visual celebration of the Commodore computers. Within the pages of each compendium are timeless title screens, stunning sprites, interviews with key figures, and just about everything else we know and love about the home computers.

This Amiga iteration of the book is no different, providing fans of the powerhouse a visual reminder as to what made growing up in the late eighties and early nineties held for non-console gamers. Expect to see the likes of Flashback, Sensible Soccer, Simon The Sorcerer, Monkey Island, and Lemmings all populating the busy pages of what is looking like another promising addition to any bookshelf.

The newly launched Commodore Amiga: a visual Commpendium Kickstarter has already surpassed its target, raising a massive amount in just a mere few days. With some reward tiers offering a reproduction disk of the unreleased Amiga game Putty Squad, it’s no wonder the project has amassed so much in such a short space of time.

As we wait for the project to successfully come to an end, be sure in the meantime to get your hands on a copy of the Commodore 64: a visual Commpendium too.
