Battle Kid 2: Mountain of Torment (NES) Playable Demo Released

Battle-Kid-2After much anticipation, Sivak Games has finally released a playable demo of the upcoming Nintendo NES game Battle Kid 2: Mountain of Torment. With plenty of challenge (and the potential of rage broken joypads), this preview offers just enough action until the homebrew release arrives.

Having started development not too long after the release of the first game in the series, this demo arrives just over a year since the project began. The perfect blend of difficulty and addictive gameplay returns and remains a prominent feature of the Mega Man inspired adventure.

So, what's playable in this new demo that's been released? The first stage and boss are currently accessible before the game resets back to the title screen. Sivak has also included what's being dubbed as the Game Engine Demo, allowing you to further explore the game's mechanics and various sample rooms.

Many thanks to RetroCollect user Nightowljrm for providing detailed footage of the new game in action.

Sivak Games is yet to announce a release date for the cartridge, however we can guess that the physical copy of the game will be arriving in the RetroUSB store in the near future.
