Bandai Wonderswan Flash Cartridge 'Flashmasta' In Development

Wonderswan-Flashmasta-FLash-Cartridge-In-DevelopmentTo many retro gamers the Wonderswan is a rather obscure and inaccessible oddity. That, however, is all about to change. The brains behind the Neo Geo Pocket Flashmasta Flash Cartridge has announced that Bandai's Japanese exclusive handheld is set to get its very own equivalent.

From the outside looking in, the Wonderswan appears to be an unfriendly system with few English friendly games. While the latter of these statements may be true, you'd be wrong to write off the handheld too easily. With fantastic exclusive titles such as Rainbow Island Putty's Party and Klonoa: Moonlight Museum, along with ports of Golden Axe and Mr Driller, the Wonderswan is definitely worth playing if obscurities are your thing.

The Wonderswan Flashmasta Flash Cartridge was originally announced back in September 2012, however, it's only as of now that we've been able to see the progress made. A recently uploaded video to YouTube from the Flashmasta Team has showcased the in-development cartridge booting a small scene demo on the handheld.

While there is still plenty of work to be done, it's great knowing we'll soon have something along the same lines as the Everdrive Flash Cartirdges for Bandai's long lost handheld.
