Arcade Exclusive 'Breakers Revenge' Gets Official Neo Geo AES Home Cartridge Release

Breakers-Revenge-AES-Official-ReleaseIn 1998 Visco released a follow up to their vibrant arcade fighter Breakers under the new title Breakers Revenge. Arriving exclusively on the MVS arcade platform, both Neo Geo AES and CD owners missed out on this sequel which balanced out the game's mechanics and introduced new playable characters. As of 2015 though, Visco are set to finally release the game on cartridge for home consoles through a French distributor.

This unexpected news will bring around the first officially released (non-homebrew) title for the Neo Geo AES in nearly two decades.

Due to be made available in both US and Japanese editions, those looking to secure what we assume will be a very limited release will need to set aside €348 for its arrival later this year. French retailer Neo Ayato is currently selling pre-orders for the game, however, it would appear that only the Japanese version is available as of yet.
