Alone In The Dark Creeps Onto Apple iPhone & iPad

Alone-In-The-Dark-ported-to-Apple-iOSSurvival horror fans rejoice! One of the earliest and most memorable titles in the genre has made its way onto touch screen devices. The 1992 PC classic Alone in the Dark has been ported to iOS and released by Atari on the Apple App Store.

Arriving at just £0.69, this re-adaptation of Alone in the Dark, developed by Kung Fu Factory, seems to stay rather true to the original. With the visuals almost identical to those from over two decades ago, the only change in this update seems to be that the controls are, understandably, touchscreen based.

While it is great to see another title from our past brought over to modern devices, we are rather curious as to how well such a complex adventure will handle the transition. Given how tricky the controls were back in the day, even with joysticks and joypads, will a touchscreen offer enough precision to dodge those haunting situations?
