Alex Kidd Unofficially Punches The ZX Spectrum In 'Axel K And The Lost Bills'

Axel-K-and-the-Lost-Bills-ZX-Spectrum-HomebrewAlthough Alex Kidd didn't arrive in our gaming world till 1986, Sega's neglected protagonist has somehow found his way onto the even older ZX Spectrum - albeit unofficially. This homebrew offering for the 8-bit home computer, known as Axel K and the Lost Bills, is not only a free download, but also one that captures the magic of Alex Kidd's Master System outings.

In Axel K and the Lost Bills it's up to you to recover your stolen tax documents from an evil finance minister's devious activities. The dubious character sent out his cunning birds to nab these documents, only they fluttered away in transit. With 15 dotted around Daraxian, get jumping and punching your way around to find them!

The main difference between Axel K and Alex Kidd in Miracle World is that this homebrew release uses screen-by-screen environments instead of scrolling platform action. Nevertheless there's a fantastic title on offer here paying tribute to one the Master System's greatest releases to date. Be sure to check Axel K and the Lost Bills via a ZX Spectrum emulator or on the original hardware with the DivIDE CompactFlash adapter.
