Alex Kidd In Miracle World Gets An Unofficial Sequel In ‘Radaxian Rumble’ For The Master System

Alex-Kidd-Radaxian-Rumble-ROM-HackAlex Kidd In Miracle World was one of those classic games you couldn’t believe was given away for free. Bundled inside just about every Master System console out there, the platformer became an instant hit and a memorable one at that. Knowing that the games which followed his Miracle World debut lacked the same magic, ROM hackers have created a revamped adventure for fans of the original.

Although still in development, Alex Kidd in Radaxian Rumble is the latest ROM hack to hit the Master System. Using Sega’s 1986 hit as a base, this all new outing for Alex Kidd builds upon the original by bringing along a selection of updated levels and functionality, both of which accompanied by new audiovisual treats such as updated graphics. Those behind this ROM hack have also taken it upon themselves to slightly refine the physics behind Alex Kidd’s movement. Their intention here - alongside other tweaks to how Alex handles in the air - is to make what made Miracle World great even better.

Demos of Alex Kidd in Radaxian Rumble have been released online at the project’s homepage. Available as an IPS patch, those looking to tackle another adventure in Kidd’s shoes will need a legally obtained Alex Kidd in Miracle World Master System ROM to apply this patch to using LunarIPS.
