Get ready for some news that will have you screaming "Objection!" for all the Wright reasons. The Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS hero Phoenix Wright is heading to the Nintendo 3DS in Ace Attorney 5.
Capcom recently announced another sequel to their successful courtroom adventure franchise, Ace Attorney, to be released exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS. In addition, Phoenix Wright (the main protagonist of most of the series' titles) returns as the main character. In addition, Phoenix will have an all new female partner in court.
Surprisingly, we have plenty of details thanks to our main source, listed below. Phoenix Wright's fifth title takes place one year after the disappointing prior game, Ace Attorney 4, which was heavily criticised for its change in character perspectives and plot. Wright has returned to the courthouse with a yellow-wearing female character following an explosion in-court.
Character design is seeing a huge change, with 3d models showing more power than previous 2D characters. Facial expressions can be adjusted or changed during gameplay. It's refreshing to see the sequel grow in terms of graphical depth, but hopefully we'll have a game that can be longer than the average Ace Attorney title. After all, the 10th anniversary of the series is coming up, and what better way to celebrate than with an all new title?
Currently, there is no official release date for the game, however, the Tokyo Game Show will give gamers the ability to try out the first 15 minutes, and just for waiting in line, you'll get a sweet bonus item from Capcom. Time to by those plane tickets!
How does everyone feel about the new Ace Attorney game? What about the not-yet-localized Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright game for the 3DS? Would you rather see that? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
