This retro flavoured celebration is due to be released come January next year, bringing plenty of nostalgia to the indie game scene.
To be able to cram so many references and gameplay hooks from countless Nintendo NES games without making a mess is one hell of a feat, one which the Abobo's Big Adventure team seems to have pulled off flawlessly. From looking at the official launch trailer and their pixel friendly website, it's becoming clear that their upcoming release is by retro gamers, for retro gamers.
A release date for Abobo's Big Adventure was recently announced on the official website, stating that the NES tribute game will be available on January 11th 2012. Until then, feast your eyes on this trailer and absorb as many of the hidden references as you can.
