1985 Alternativo's New Homebrew Mega Drive Shmup 'Antarex' In Development

1985-Alternativo-New-Homebrew-Mega-Drive-Shmup-Antarex-In-DevelopmentHaving recently released Oh Mummy on the Mega Drive, the homebrew heroes 1985 Alternativo have already returned to showcase their next game in the works. Although no release date has been set, Antarex, their all new scrolling shooter for the Mega Drive, has us anticipating the opening of pre-orders.

That's quite a bold statement from ourselves given that only two screenshots of the game have been published online, however, we're suckers for brand new software. 1985 Alternativo's last homebrew title, Oh Mummy, was a fantastic example of how to utilise the 16-bit hardware today - something we're expecting to see again with Antarex.

Stay tuned. Hopefully we'll have more information on this homebrew Mega Drive shmup in the near future, along with the all important gameplay videos.

This would normally be good news but considering they've still not shipped Oh Mummy! out to everyone and aren't really answering emails I wouldn't buy a product from them again.
