16-Bit Magazine Throwback ‘HyperPlay RPG’ Fanzine Now Available

HyperPlay-RPG-Fanzine-Out-NowWe all remember the days of Super Play fondly thanks to its innovative blend of Japanese culture, gaming, and anime - but where’s the modern day alternative? While it might not be hitting magazine stores around the country nor gleaming with colour, HyperPlay RPG is the the fan’s answer to the the void left by the much loved magazine. A throwback which is now available to order online.

Instead of resorting to digital distribution and PDF downloads, the team behind HyperPlay RPG have opted to stick to their retro roots nd create a paper based publication. Focusing mainly on classic RPGs and Nintendo’s past, the publication is every bit a spiritual successor to the aforementioned Super Play in both content and looks.

The first and trial issue of the fanzine is now available to order online for £3.50 including postage. This month’s features include reviews of Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy VI and Bahamut Lagoon, along with features such as guides to get the most out of Akihabara’s retro district, and a focus of video game writing and artwork.
