16-Bit Hero 'Boogerman' Makes Snotty Comeback Via Kickstarter

Boogerman-20th-Anniversary-KickstarterWhen somebody brings up the subject of 16-bit platformers, Sonic, Mario, Superfrog and Bubsy are often amongst the first which come to mind, but what about that slightly revolting one left behind in 1994? Funnily enough - just in time for his 20th birthday - it looks like Boogerman is set to make a snotty comeback via Kickstarter's crowd funding platform.

The original developers and designers behind the pick and flick adventure, Mike Stragey and Chris Tremmel, have reunited after two decades in the games industry to do their flagship nasal character modern justice. The duo are hoping to raise a massive $375,000 through gamer's pledges to bring Boogerman over to PC and Mac (Steam), as well as PlayStation 4, PS Vita, and the Nintendo Wii U.

Boogerman's 20th Anniversary, however, is not set to be a remake of the original game. Instead of replicating the Mega Drive and Super Nintendo cult classic, Stragey and Tremmel are looking towards creating an all new adventure using the original game as inspiration whilst bringing along a whole host of new features.

Wow, that seems a awful amount of money to ask... I cant see it getting funded at that level...

So two people are going to make the game? if this is funded they will be ok for a few years...

Maybe I am reading it wrong...
