  • the way i started was to trawl through the top 50/100 lists for the systems i was interested in, picking out the games i would likely play

  • The advice from my fellow retro-heads is spot on. Gaming isn't about rare or expensive games, it's about fun! I've been into this for 34 years and the best way is to start with one system and pick put say 10 you want to actually play. These days there are many bargains to be found and how you collect whether it's cart only or complete is up to you. I only wanted games that I truly enjoyed.

  • Great advice from Gentlepoke. Build up a library of fun good games, resist the temptation of going for the rarities at the beginning as some/most are terrible. Best to have 10 great games than 1 rubbish one. Once you have a collection of good games you can dig a bit deeper and get into the rarities.
